Client Privacy, Confidentiality, and Copyright Protected
No confidential client information will be forwarded, disclosed, or sold to any third party – other than to trusted partners to enable them to complete the client’s work. Exceptions only apply for extreme circumstances under legal obligation or for protection of others’ rights or safety.
Any intellectual property or copyrighted information given to us will be used solely for the client’s work and remains their property.
Client Supply of Data/ Information
In order for timely work completion, the client must provide all requested data and information.
Fees Cover:
- Initial meeting (Wellington region) or phone/Skype call if required
- Up to 4 complete drafts before final (5th) edition is produced
- Additional meetings, or meetings outside Wellington region (apart from major jobs or when visiting the client’s area for other reasons)
- Changes to the original brief/ scope (i.e. client’s change of mind down the track)
- Amendments requested after final edition
- Any other out-of-pocket expenses incurred during the project

Cancelled Work
Jobs that are cancelled or abandoned by clients for their own reasons (unrelated to Spectra copywriting service) will be charged pro-rata for work already done up till the point of cancellation.
Payment of Fees
Invoices will generally be sent around the beginning of the month with payment due on the 20th of that month, but this may vary. Payment is receivable by direct credit, credit card via PayPal (5% fee on-charged), or cheque, as per detailed instructions on invoices.
New clients are charged a deposit of 33% for the first job, with the remainder payable on completion. A progress payment may be required after the first draft is produced for large or perceived high-risk jobs.
For any subsequent jobs, a deposit is not normally required but just full payment upon completion.
Unless special arrangements are made, fees more than 3 months overdue may be handed over to credit recovery agencies with penalty fees payable by the client.
Refund/ Waiver of Fees
As per our commitment, any work done that is not acceptable to the client, after every effort has been made to remedy any problems, will have fees waived or refunded.
No Liability for Factual Accuracy of Content
We will not be held responsible for factual errors in written content such as product details, dates, etc, as the client has final responsibility to check this and request any corrections necessary.
